DOWN RODS
900mm down rods are available to replace the standard 230mm rods. These are not expensive and can easily be cut to the correct length. Available in Antique Brass, Black Chrome, Brown, Bright Brass, White.
SLOPING CEILINGS
All Sylaska ceiling fans are fitted with a ball joint to allow for mountings on sloping ceilings without the need for further adaptation.
Our ceiling fans deliver maximum cooling power when between 7-9 ft (2.2-2.8m) above the floor. They should never hang lower than 7ft (2.2m) and should be at least 12 in (305mm) from the ceiling to gain the best results.
CEILING FANS PROVIDE COMFORT & STYLE ALL YEAR LONG
Ceiling fans – a ventilation system that has been proved over 100 years and today, more than ever before, one that brings a timeless beauty to your home. Within this booklet there is a design variation that will belong with your decor, whether your home is period, modern or ultra-modern. Choose well, as your Sylaska or Jetstream fan will last a lifetime.
YEAR-ROUND COMFORT
These ceiling fans provide complete year round comfort and style to the New Zealand home. All Sylaska fans are reversible, thus ideal for both summer and winter use, keeping you cool in summer and reducing heating costs in winter.
SUMMER – The blades circulate air around the room causing natural evaporative cooling.
WINTER – Hot air from your heater rises and remains on the ceiling. The reversible option allows the blades to rotate in the opposite direction, redistributing the warm air trapped on the ceiling throughout the room. This ensures even heating of the room and allows the economical use of winter heating devices.
